Guardianship Advisement
In cases where the beneficiary of a settlement is a disabled adult or a surviving minor, a guardianship may be needed. A guardian can help find an appropriate facility to provide necessary ongoing care, work with the special needs team to coordinate treatment, ensure that bills are paid, and provide myriad other services.
FS works with an extensive list of professional guardians, and we can help attorneys locate and engage an appropriate individual. We will also work with the guardian to ensure all the documentation is in place to establish a Special Needs Trust.
